Digging in the dirt

Crying as she reads

Her name in stone

Her date of birth

Coldly etched

A crowd gathered

Behind the headstone

Watching her

A few with shovels

And menacing smiles

A few with tears

And helpless frowns

A few with outstretched hands

Holding torches of light

A few with wings like Angels

With dazzling smiles

All standing bound in rope

Unable to hurt

Unable to help

It is her battle now

And hers alone

May she finally lay to rest

The depression born

Of 2012

And walk in the sun

Of 2013
