Everything ends
Each heart break
Brings you to a new start
If you wait long enough
If you can endure
The pain of trusting someone
Of falling in love with someone
And having them simply
Give up…change…walk away
It hurts to find out you are
Completely replaceable
And all things that were once
Said with affection, admiration
To you…were given away
To someone new
Someone very nearly like you
It hurts to be manipulated
To be used for something
You could give just long enough
For a better you to come along
It’s true there is no one like you
Nobody can replace you
You are a one of a kind
But in the end, when they leave
Someone else will fill their head
Someone else will fill that time
And in those spaces
In those moments
You have been replaced
And the only thing left for you
Is to find yourself a replacement too

Such an exciting self-portrait – in contrast to your words…
Kind of a crazy mix…like me
LOL… Thanks for pointing that out. Men are DENSE, you know.
I take umbrage with that remark.
Well duh LOL
I lover your blog. I love the color and the style and the poetry. This piece is very powerful because sometimes the truth sucks and this poem tells the truth. Excellent poem.

Wow. So true in the matter of love. A love lost. A love over. A love ended. When your heart chooses a love, and the love grows, builds, becomes great… then one day the love falls, the other way, and comes to an end like in the words you have written here… after all the love you had, and gave and was given, my question is, when a love is over, where does the love you had, where does the love they gave you, go? Where does the love go?
Do we ever really just stop having love for someone we used to be with?
Does that love go away?
Or do we tuck it somewhere in our heart?
Where does that love go…

I don’t think love ever ends…just the journey does.
Agreed. I don’t think it goes away either. It may change a little, and turn in to loving respect, buy it doesn’t just vanish. I don’t think the heart ever forgets… ~ Jen
This one breaks my heart into a million pieces, and puts them back together incorrectly, so the beat is wrong.
