INTO THE PAST

IMG_8182

Yesterday it rained blood

It tasted like irony on my tongue

Wishful dreams turned crimson

Come to drown me in a hematological flood

Promises fell from silver clouds

Spherical layers pounding my eyes

Damaged frozen balls broken

On jagged heart shaped beats

Pausing too often

The most unhealthy rhythmical feat

Touch my humanity with your wind

Feel it slip between your hands

Phantom caresses lost in time

Tender notions no longer sublime

The blood stops falling for a moment

Frozen in the air like balloons floating

I see your rusting eyes just once more

Before you turn and disappear

Into the past where you belong

You always blow me away with the power in your poetry. The ideas and images become crisp and clear, yet you don’t need a thousand words to convey it all.
