Bookmark the permalink. 5 Comments I lay in the park On a cold cement bench As meandering Fluffy snowflakes fell Landing in my eyes Freezing my eyeballs Open to the sky I dreamed eyes wide I was hanging from a rope So I made a noose Not to hang myself But to pull myself up I slipped as I struggled And ended up hanging With it cozy around my neck Dangling from a tree Children came to play And made a circle of snowmen Singing a choir song around me The sun came out And melted the rope binding me I fell to the ground into a puddle Of childhood love melted Just in time to save me The ice in my eyes began to melt And I stood to leave the park Tears streaming as my thoughts Disappeared into the wishful white About these ads Share this:FacebookPrintEmailTwitterPinterestLike this:Like Loading...
