Connection was lost

A bad line somewhere

Smooth sailing

Got choppy

And I was abandoned

Holding my teddy bear

Let’s never end

Was the life raft

That kept me alive

For weeks on end

I heard your voice

Rattling endless

Inside my head

As I floated

Aimless to different shores

Mountain tops

Valley meadows

Sunny fields

Then the sun went down

And let’s never end

Became

Something else

A cliff face

We could not pass

A volcano

Full of red hot tears

A minefield

Ready to detonate

Let’s never end

Became our death

Let’s never end

Glistened in the rain

Left behind
