CRUSHING CONSUMPTION

I sit alone contemplating the numbness that threatens to consume me. Overwhelmed at the crushing consumption of it all. Even the darkness, full of dread, promises to be overcome by the nothingness that dwells within. Your voice, your smile, your understanding eyes scarcely breaks through the wall where emotions are lined up to die!

  1. It’s eerie how similar this poem is to some of mine because I understand what you’re trying to convey. I love the adjectives and words you choose, they’re fitting.
