MOONLIT NIGHT

Written by Pharphelonus and Hastywords

Smiles ignite eternal candles

Keeping spirits in their light

Souls reflect in mirrored gazes

On a snow-covered moonlit night

Whispers share their secret stories

Passion builds, but out of sight

Sinewy bodies blend together

On a snow-covered moonlit night

Carols ring as we gasp with icy breath

Deep within fires rage yearning

To melt the winter wonderland where we lay

On a snow-covered moonlit night

Aromas fill the air with promise

Sensations flicker like a flame

Cold and warmth mingle together

On a snow-covered moonlit night

Watching houses billow smoke

Fireplaces lit with romance

As you look into my eyes and propose

On a snow-covered moonlit night

Angels floating all around us

Singing love songs just for us

Dreams come true in perfect balance

On a snow-covered moonlit night

  2. This is fabulous – I’m going to save this one for future reading too. “Aromas fill the air with promise/Sensations flicker like a flame”. I love writing that can incorporate the other senses, it heightens the dynamic quality and the feelings I have towards it, since I enjoy taste and aroma so much. Excellent duet, I feel like at this point my praise could be endless and no doubt will be!
