A QUIET HOPE

admin-ajax.phpWritten by Jack Pettinato and HastyWords

In a forgotten part of town

Three weathered men,

Brothers by circumstance

Rather than blood,

Warm their hands over an open fire

Faces worn with experience

Sorrows covered in stubble

The colors of their eyes stolen

And their tears long ago bled dry

Standing side by side by side

Their sonorous voices

Shrouded by the cold

Yet forged from adversity

Fill the night with an unbroken spirit

Drenched in hope

A symbol that no matter where

And no matter who we are

Our souls aren’t alone

There are always others to be met

Along any path we find ourselves on
