CREATING FRANKENSTEIN

She gathered up her tools

Trying hard to make amends

Told herself she wasn’t broken

That somehow she’d transcend

A few stitches to bind the seams

Maybe a patch or two to mend

[Chorus:]
Bleeding through her bandages
She’s going through extremes
Trying to hide all her damage
Hoping to muffle all her screams

Too much time has been wasted

On trying to paint the perfect scene

The colors she used were bleeding

Into a predictable midnight screen

Too much time has been wasted

On memories she can never speak

[Chorus:]
Bleeding through her bandages
She’s going through extremes
Trying to hide all her damage
Hoping to muffle all her screams

Every minute she is spending

On camouflaging her disposition

So much time spent on mending

Mirrors no longer reveal ambition

The scars she conceals are ugly

She is a Frankenstein to herself

  1. I found myself in an environment where the darker colours of my personality were focussed on too much…they forgot about all my bright colours, so much that I did as well. We all have a spectrum. We just need the right time, place and people to shine.
