DESTINY CRASHES

BeFunky_Underpainting_242.jpg

WRITTEN BY RICHARD ANKERS AND HASTYWORDS

Broken glass clung

In pieces to his hair

Desperation pulled

At his lungs looking

For a breath of air

Sludgy water fogging

And unable to see

He struggled to the

Surface clawing up

From dark infinity

Their screams

Trace his memory

Etching acoustic

Tracks on his

Broken history

Uncertain future

Past to forget

Guilt of what

He’s done there

Building regret

Emerging alone

Lungs torched

Drunken lament

His conscience

Eternally scorched

Confusion rules

Unstable mind

Drops to bank

His world lost

Darkness blind

Her lips lost in

Lightning flashes

Tires screeched

Without traction

Destiny crashes

One life ends

Another postponed

Woman and man

Another accident

Being bemoaned
