TOXIC II

Today I wrote a post titled TOXIC.  One of the comments was a poem I just couldn’t let die in comment land.  Check her out and share in her love of all things glitter… Lizzi with Considerings.  Thank you Lizzi!

Give me your toxins
I will drink them like wine
For poison cannot harm
One already cauterized
Twisted and burned
And broken inside
Bring me your hurts
Look into my eyes
And know that I have
Built resistance to this
Whoever else might falter
And fade, let me whis-
Per in your ear, I am here
I am here, you are safe
You don’t have to be
Shiny or okay or brave
Just be who you are
To thine own self be true
I will hold tight
‘Cos I’m as toxic as you.

  1. You don’t have to be
    Shiny or okay or brave
    Just be who you are
To thine own self be true
    I will hold tight
‘Cos I’m as toxic as you.

How amazingly wonderful, the two of you……
