31 DAYS OF HORROR
(LINK UP IN COMMENTS)
It always looked lonely
Death
Filled with nothingness
No stars to light the black
No moon to hang your hat
No crickets to sing goodnight
Just an empty vast void
Of silence…
Now it looks peaceful
Death
Filled with nothingness
No voices inside my head
No opinions filled with lead
No love to cause heartache
Just an empty vast void
Of silence…
Cold numbness crawls
Upon leaving my skin
Flowing like mist away
From the reality of breath
Into the black
Into the silence
Into the nothing
Into death
O’, God,
I hope death leads to light and love and music and laughter and poetry and prose and chocolate and…..!
Nothingness is frightening.

“Into the nothing” -This line made me think of the Neverending Story. The thought of nothing personified can be pretty scary. 😉

You have managed what I would have thought to be impossible – made me toy with the abyss as beautiful.
(But, I turn back knowing that, while the peace of no more sadness would be bliss, the emptiness of loss of hope is hell, indeed. Today could well contain a joy worth seeing. Maybe – or – maybe not.)
