THE STATE OF ORPHAN

  1. Only just noticed your re-post of your poem above today. I could not remember reading the original on my Father’s birthday nine months ago (I had to go check to find this out), and then just days ago while tired in the small morning hours on the eve to the sixth anniversary of his story’s closing, from somewhere inside came the poem tale of “Inside Laneways” as a late thought to a previous prompt over at “The Reverie” based on a set of words. Perhaps “The State of Orphan” was somewhere just below the surface, as I wrote to a similar set of themes around that of an orphan, loss, altered situations, and change. Just feeling lost and a little confused today on how/why my head managed drift that way while writing.
