STARDUST

admin-ajax.php

She used to love the colors
That followed the setting sun
How the streaks carried on
As if they had forever to run

She used to feel the warmth
On the other side of daybreak
She had absorbed its beams
Healing every past heartbreak

But not today…

Today the stars cried
Its stardust our demise
And the flaming sun
Closed his fiery eyes

Because…

This kind of mourning
Not even God could hide

  1. Knowing His boy had chosen hell
And naught left to be done
He sat in sadness on his hands
And bit, and held his tongue

    He watched in anguished impotence
As slow, hell’s powers were all undone
But one small thing He did in love:
    He hid the burning sun.
