SAMARA SPEAKS TO THE NIGHT

There are a few people who keep me afloat when I feel like I might drown.  One of them is having a birthday today!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAMARA SPEAKS!

I have been terribly short with my words lately so I suppose I will just write poetry.  I love you. And I hope we can always hold each other up.

Midnight comes, it always comes

Dancing a strange broken ballet

An ode to all her lives past; passed

A constant highlight reel; spliced

Of open wounds, more like holes

And memories that won’t heal

But

The clock doesn’t dare stop

And just as night rewinds her heart

Daylight reaches in, fast forward

And pulls her back into the light

It holds her with sunshine voices

And ignites each day with new smiles

Hoping that someday

Samara will speak to the night

And light will shine there too

  2. I don’t really know where to begin here.

I’m looking at the beautiful flowers you sent me. I’m thinking about how YOU lift ME up when I need you.
Light Club. I’m reading your poem, which is gorgeous. I’m listening to the song – which I love.

    It’s all perfectly perfect.

You have renewed my faith in friendships between women. Thank you. Together, we are stronger.

    love,
    Samara xoxoxo
